Let The Games Begin!

Tonight was John Thomas' first t-ball game. He is #8 for the Simpsonville Bear Cats. At his age, each player gets to bat and run the bases each inning, so there are only 2 full innings. The coach pitches 6 balls and if the player doesn't hit, then he gets to hit off of a tee.

First time up at bat, John Thomas hit a foul then got a base hit off the tee. Once in the field he played between the pitcher and 1 baseman.
Second time at bat, he hit off the coaches pitch YAY!! He was so proud! He played shortstop the second time on the field. He made a really great catch during the inning. After the game, the teams high fived and then Coach Randy presented the game ball. He said that the game ball was going to the player that made a really good play during the game. Tonights game ball went to JOHN THOMAS!! Talk about a proud moment.

Pro Shots Pics from Mommy Son Dance

Yesterday I was so happy to see that the pictures they took at the mommy/son dance had arrived. It was weird to look at the pictures and not have Bryson in them. I think the middle one pic in the middle row is my favorite.

My Sleeping Angels

Somehow both ended up in the big bed this morning. Like I said before camera battery is dead, this is with my phone with only a lamp on. I have got to charge the battery tonight.

Dentist Appointments (A 1st for Bryson)

Today we loaded up to visit our favorite dentist Ann Bynum. She has a great waiting area filled with video games and beach decor and her assistents are the friendliest group of ladies ever! Today was Bryson's very first check up and probably the 7th time that John Thomas has been. They know the boys by name and are always so great with them. They both got great reports and have NO CAVITIES!!!
My camera battery went dead and I haven't gotten a chance to download the few I got. The ones below are off of my phone.
Bryson getting ready. Yes the shades are on upside down but he wasn't crying or trying to get off the table so I let him do them however he wanted! Like he's done it a million times. I was so proud. Yes, glasses are still upside down. Not a great pic, but John Thomas patiently waiting for Dr. Ann.

R.I.P - Easy

Our hamster died today :( I didn't tell the boys until this morning. When I did, I told them that Easy was sick and that she wanted to go to Heaven. Of course the questions started...

Why was she sick?

How did God know she wanted to go to Heaven?

Did the worm eat her?

Did she float?

What did she say?

Any my favorite, Bryson said "Easy bite me, she no go to Heben"

Why Every Boy Needs A Mommy

If not for mom's, where would little boys learn to match their clothes...
This is what John Thomas "surprised" me with today. He said he wanted to dress himself.
Enjoy!
Note he is wearing Bryson's halloween shirt from last year, green and white plaid shorts from last summer, and orange Crocs that are a size too small...

Mommy/Son Dance

Tonight I had a date John Thomas. We enjoyed dinner and a dance at the Simpsonville Activity Center.
We got there and ProShots took our picture together, then we enjoyed salad, spaghetti, bread and a cupcake. After eating, the Party Machine played a lot of fun songs and John Thomas danced his heart out. We were lucky enough to join our friends Tess, Noah, Suzanne and Bennett. I can't wait to attend next year with both my guys (Bryson couldn't go since he's not quite 3 yet). Enjoy the pics.

Bryson Fought the Hamster...

And the hamster won...

I've told Bryson a million times not to stick his sweet little fingers in her cage and every night he does it. Well tonight he did it and it spooked her. She bit the tip of his finger and you would have thought that the world was coming to an end.
Since he wouldn't let me take a picture of the wound, this is the only evidence I have to show him later in life.

Hello Spring!!

We're getting our first feel of spring here, and the boys are loving being able to play outside. Tonight, they wanted to eat outside so they did. Less mess to clean up on the inside :)

Hiking with Daddy

A post from Daddy...
John Thomas and I went on a big adventure today hiking deep into the congo yards away from civilization, with nothing but water, a water gun, animal crackers, 3 bouncey balls, two gloves, baseball, stuffed animal, juicebox, and a few alphabet letters. We had a blast exploring!
Behind our neighborhood there are a few small trails through the woods, very fun for little explorers, there is even a little sandy area where he played after the hike and dipped his feet in the river (only ankle deep and very sandy bottom)
The picture below is a depiction of an ancient survival technique passed down from man to son since the age of time… how to survive when the nearest potty isn’t close enough to make it

Bryson and Mommy opted for a trip to Wal Mart and naps.

T-Ball

Tonight was John Thomas' first practice for Tball. He did very well! He amazed us both with how well he listened to his coaches and enjoyed playing.
